Zamin (Kenneth) Danty is a longtime student of Interfaith Spirituality and has shared in community with people of numerous faith traditions. He studied with a Sufi Order for over 20 years, and has also intimately participated in Christian, Quaker, Sikh and Native American communities. He is a second generation member of a Jewish Holocaust surviving family, and has worked as a counselor/therapist with people recovering from addictions and mental illness.  He has also served with community-based programs for mentally handicapped adults.

Following the violence of 9/11 Zamin’s Path become more focused into the realm of Interfaith Peacebuilding. A key focus became understanding the religious causes of violence as well as the religious contributions to Nonviolence, Gandhi’s “Ahimsa.” Fostering mutual understanding between diverse religious and cultural traditions, ethical education, creative nonviolence and the sharing of common languages and narratives have been the goals.

On an avocational basis Zamin currently facilitates interfaith dialogues and leads sojourns to spiritual, religious and humanitarian communities in the Washington Area. The “Omega Forum” is a vehicle for sharing the healing potential of community as a gift to the Peacemaking process.
